Recording properties:

The BY-PM500 features two selectable directional characteristics:
- Cardioid: Perfect for capturing sounds from the front while ignoring sounds from other sides. Ideal for dialogues, podcasts and speeches.
- Omnidirectional: Picks up sounds evenly from all sides and is great for vivid, natural recordings of speech, conversations and surroundings.

Compatibility and Application:

Thanks to the included USB-A and USB-C cable, the BY-PM500 is compatible with Windows and MacOS. It can also be used with most devices with a USB-C port, including smartphones and tablets. With software such as Audacity or Audition, you can effortlessly record sound and save it directly. The connected device supplies power to the microphone, eliminating the need for batteries.

Application BY-PM500:

Mounting the microphone is easy: loosen the mounting screws, position the microphone as needed and tighten the screws. Connect the microphone to your computer, tablet or smartphone using the USB cables. The recorded sound can be monitored in real time using headphones connected to the 3.5mm output on the microphone. The BY-HP2 headphones, available as an optional accessory, are recommended. On the front of the microphone there is a volume control and a button for switching between polar patterns. The BY-PM500 can also be placed on a tripod using the 5/8" female thread on the bottom.
